Today at the San Jacopo Hospital in Pistoia M.G.M. Motori Elettrici inaugurated its latest donation: 2 beds to the Oncology Unit of the Pistoia-Pescia PO Healthcare Company, Tuscany Central, to contribute to the fight against cancer and support patients facing this disease.
In addition to the M.G.M. Motori Elettrici owners, the Mayor of Serravalle Pistoiese, Piero Lunardi, some employees, and the hospital staff were present.
The health and well-being of members of our community have always been a priority for us. We considered it important to do our part to support those who are facing a difficult time, such as fighting cancer, by taking concrete action to provide support. We are proud, both as individuals and as a company, to be able to contribute to improving the quality of hospital care for patients in our area.
The presence of manual and uncomfortable beds in management was a critical element in the care of the department. The equipment consisted of completely manual beds that did not allow for autonomous maneuvers by patients, even those who are self-sufficient.
The donation consists of ergonomic electrically controlled beds to be placed in the Oncology DH department, which allows the operator to easily and smoothly vary the bed height and assume correct postures during care operations and patient transfers. On the other hand, they eliminate all manual adjustments, allowing the patient to manage the bed posture on their own. This project, therefore, helps to overcome these difficulties by contributing to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment while minimizing discomfort for patients.
The oncology department staff at the San Jacopo Hospital thanked M.G.M. Motori Elettrici for the generous donation and declared that it will be of great help in improving the quality of healthcare provided to patients.
This donation is a sign of our continued commitment to the local community, and we will continue to seek ways to help in the fight against cancer and support those affected by it.
