UKCA MARKING
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is the new product mark of the United Kingdom which replaces the CE marking after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union. From 1 January 2025, the CE marking will no longer be accepted on most new products placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland) and the UKCA will be required with the relevant declaration of conformity. More information is available on the website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-ukca-marking.
In order to allow free movement both in EU and in UK, the UKCA marking will be placed on the nameplate of all MGM motors already bearing the CE marking. Motors will therefore be provided with both CE and UKCA markings without any price increase. The UKCA marking will be progressively affixed to the nameplates starting from the order confirmation of week 48 of 2022, even if not expressly requested when ordering. If it is necessary to have the UKCA marking on motors with an order confirmation prior to that date, it must instead be specifically requested. For non-EU motors that do not bear the CE marking, the UKCA marking is not provided.
